In this presentation, Skanska’s Albert Zulps describes a perfect storm of IoT (connectivity,) sensors (wearables,) and analytics (cloud, AI)—all coming together and creating tremendous opportunity in construction today. Albert gives a live demonstration of how wearables converge with RTLS to predict and prevent safety incidents and provide real-time visibility into operations on a construction site that is always changing. A major takeaway: A lot of the information generated by wearables is not useful unless you know where the wearer is located.
