For the past several years, NASA JPL has been using XR for the design, assembly, and operation of various hardware, including spacecraft, satellites, rovers, and science instruments. This session from the 2022 Augmented Enterprise Summit focuses on how JPL has successfully used an augmented reality (AR) collaborative CAD visualization tool called ProtoSpace for various NASA flight projects. We describe use cases, value add / return on investment (ROI), and related XR efforts at JPL.
