This case study presented by Bradd Busick of MacDonald-Miller is full of juicy takeaways. MacDonald-Miller is a Seattle company that helps build and service buildings, and it’s also a model organization for getting IT “right.” According to Bradd, IT can no longer just sit on the sidelines, fixing the phone or computer; it has to find out what capabilities are needed across the enterprise and help leverage new tech to provide them. At MacDonald-Miller, IT deployed smart glasses to meet the skills gap, a major pain point across the board in construction; and in so doing generated a new source of revenue for the company.
