Wesley Bausch is the Project Manager in the Innovation and Technology Department at Southern Nuclear. In this role, his major role was in research, assessment, development, implementation, and technical support of Innovation & Technology projects across the Southern Nuclear fleet. Projects range from large capital initiatives to site-specific functional area O&M projects. Wesley is responsible for developing the scope of work, budgetary requirements, implementation schedule, and serves as Subject Matter Expert. My goal in this role is to respond to requests from the functional areas of the organization to address technology needs and recommend solutions, and in turn, support the implementation of chosen initiatives.
Collectively, Wesley manages the human and technical aspects of project implementation, focusing on continuous improvement and company success. This year Wesley is focused on solutions around digital workers, Spent Fuel Pool filtration, Radiation Protection Advanced Monitoring, and Chemistry Risk-Informed Sampling. Before joining the Innovation and Technology department, Wesley previously worked in the Corporate Chemistry department in several roles with a focus on fleet governance and oversight.
Wesley earned his bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Wisconsin. Wesley is the EPRI NMETT for SNC and an active member of North American Young Generation in Nuclear and the SNC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.
