Nicole Tan is a creative technologist exploring far-future R&D for Wayfair by leveraging emerging technologies. Her multidisciplinary work at Wayfair Next focuses on designing and engineering prototypes to bring far-future concepts to life, inspiring Wayfair to think about new paradigms in home & retail. Prior to Wayfair, she worked on animatronic-centric collision tools for 3D artists at Walt Disney Imagineering and on VR research at the Cornell Virtual Embodiment Lab. She graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Cornell University in 2018. Nicole has previously presented work at a number of peer-reviewed conferences, including SIGCHI, SIGGRAPH, and MobileHCI.
