Mr. Bellows joined AIG in 1996 to assist in the transition of the claims company into a medical management application. He is currently the Northeast Zone Risk Strategist in AIG’s Client Risk Solutions Consulting Division providing domestic and international risk management consultation to customers from five branches in the Northeast. His 40 years of experience in domestic and international property casualty, includes various management positions in Underwriting, Risk Control and Claims with several large international commercial insurance carriers. Combining an understanding of loss metrics, exposure modeling, project management and organizational behavior, Mr. Bellows helps customers develop and implement risk management solutions that improve their risk profile. Leveraging analytics and technology to drive innovative solution options, recent projects include; force and posture assessments, CTE analysis, PTSD screening, waste stream contamination, exoskeleton risk mitigation, security and terrorism, DHS certification, Vehicle Vector Analysis, Business Continuity, Supply Chain, and Cyber threat. Addressing many industry forums such as RIMS and STRIMA Mr. Bellows has presented topics on Self-Insurance Groups, IDM, Ergonomics, Pollution Liability, Soft Tissue Injury Management, Fraud and Settlement Strategy Analytics, Workers Compensation, Fleet and Business Continuity Planning. Mr. Bellows holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Biology from the State University of New York and a Master’s Degree in Safety Management from Bienville University. He earned his HPR certificate from Oklahoma State University in 1985, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation in 1986, Industrial Hygiene certificate from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1988 and Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE) in 2006. Today Ron combines his experience with AIG’s Innovation and Science Group bringing analytics and technology solutions to AIG customers toward the development of innovative solutions and the mitigation of operational risk.
