Joseph had leadership roles in six startups in the medical device industry prior to Levitate. Additionally, Joseph managed business development for an emerging market telecom startup. In 1993, Joseph was employed at startup company River Medical, becoming its fourth employee. River Medical grew to over 50 employees within 3 years and merged IMED as part of a $420M acquisition. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, and a Maters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
