John is suddenly finding himself to be the old IT guy that he used to poke fun at when he was a young IT guy. Decades of experience designing and building technical solutions to solve business problems, fixing broken systems, and devising new and creative ways to break and prevent the exploitation of systems have left him jaded and cantankerous. But, he currently finds himself embedded in a fast paced development organization of millennial and big thinkers incorporating some of the latest technologies and platforms to freshen up a formerly stodgy old electric company. Through advancing cyber security risk management in the IoT/cloud/mobile/agile/latest greatest thing, Bringing together the IT with the OT, and helping the utility businesses devise amazing augmented reality solutions to make the plant and field worker’s life safer, more enjoyable, and more productive, he still has high hopes of thwarting the zombie apocalypse.
