Chris Grubbs works at Southwest Airlines in the Technology organization where he serves as Senior Project Manager, Product Owner, for the Enterprise Mobile Foundation Team. Chris manages the delivery of enterprise mobile solutions across all organizations at Southwest. Chris partners with Business Units, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture and the Quality Management Office to deliver enterprise mobile initiatives. Chris partners with vendors like Apple, Samsung, Stratix, VMWare – AirWatch, Jeppesen, The Weather Company, ForeFlight, GuestLogix, and other app development firms that provide solutions to enable enterprise mobility efforts at Southwest. The Mobile Foundation Team at Southwest manages 30,000 plus mobile devices consisting of Corporate Owned tablets, and handheld devices used at 100 plus locations around the Americas. Southwest Airlines also supports BYOD which is enabled via Policy and Standards by Cybersecurity and technically supported by the Enterprise Mobile Foundation Team.

Prior to joining the Enterprise Mobile Foundation Team, Chris served as Product Owner for Customer Service Interactive Products at Southwest which includes Notification Creation Service used with Push Notifications, and systems used for outbound text, email, and voice notifications for passengers. Chris’s area included additional products Emergency Notification System used by Network Operations Command for notifications impacting airports and aircraft operations. During his tenure with this Team Chris developed a roadmap for updating the existing IVRs that serve the customers of Southwest to a new hosted platform.

Before joining Southwest Chris worked as Product Manager and Manager PMO for EST Group in Arlington, Texas. Chris also worked at Sprint for 11 years from 1995 to 2007. Chris served in many roles at Sprint including Program Manager in Product Delivery, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Software Engineer, and QA Tester in Technology.

Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.
